Twin Waters residents raise an impressive $4,600 for Cancer Council

One in two Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85 and Living Choice Twin Waters is doing its part to help change that. Each year residents at Twin Waters work together to organise the Cancer Council's annual Australia's Biggest Morning Tea which helps those affected by such a horrible illness.

Last Friday residents and guests were treated to delicious cakes and treats, bargain shopping, an auction, 34 raffle prizes and great company.  This was the 12th year the Twin Waters village has coordinated this event and since then over $47,000 has been raised to help fund Cancer Council's life-saving research, prevention, support programs, and information.

It is no secret the Cancer Council's annual Morning Tea is well-supported and this year was definitely no exception with many generous residents and guests attending the event to show their support. $4,620 was raised with thanks to all those who donated. It's great knowing every dollar raised helps support those impacted by cancer.

A huge thank you to Resident Ambassadors, Thelma Richardson and Dorothy Blythe, the lovely (and hardworking) ladies in the kitchen, resident helpers, and everyone who came to help support a great cause for yet another time 'round.

We can’t wait to see what is in store for 2020’s morning tea.

Don't forget - Living Choice Woodcroft's Biggest Morning Tea is happening on Thursday 30th May. See more about the event here
