Veteran golfers converge on Parkwood
One hundred and twenty-four golfers from five clubs in the Northern Gold Coast District Veterans Golf Association converged on Parkwood Golf Club on Friday 18th June to take part in the District Shield Game, sponsored by Living Choice Parkwood.
Allan McDonnell, President and Social Convener of the Parkwood Seniors and Veterans Golf Club, said the course was well-prepared and the lunch that followed was excellent.
“The Living Choice team did a wonderful job and helped to make our number one day of the year the best of all the five clubs involved. They also gave a presentation about the new village and presented the prizes to the winners,” said Allan.
“We had four grades and the winners in each grade received $50 for first place, $30 for second place and $20 for third place. Nearest the pin winners received 6 balls each and there was a ball run-down for the next best 6 in each grade. All of these prizes were made possible with the great sponsorship by Living Choice,” he added.
Living Choice team members Michael Levick and Angie Hackett set up a small marquee on the 4th hole where they invited participants to enter a draw to win a luxury hamper. Congratulations to the winner, John Young of Tambourine Mountain Golf Club.
Several golfers also took the opportunity to tour the onsite display apartment. To book a tour, phone 1300 421 414.
