VIP Member Card launched at Leisure Lea Gardens Open Day
Downsizing, less maintenance, social interaction and care if you need it – there are many reasons people decide to move into a retirement village. Having access to onsite services and activities is another major reason and now it’s available to those who have not even moved into a village yet.
Leisure Lea Gardens has many services onsite – including a dining-room, doctor, podiatrist, beautician and a popular hair salon. The village has now made these services available to non-residents, through a VIP Member Card which was launched at an Open Day on Thursday 9th December.
Village Manager, Linda Savige, says having access to some of the services and activities is a great way to experience village life while people consider whether Leisure Lea Gardens is the right village for them.
“VIP Card members will be able to take advantage of some great specials, such as lunches prepared by our popular chef for only $15.50. On Fridays, they can book one lunch and get one free. They can also book appointments with Dr Robert Sebefsi, who consults on Mondays and Wednesdays, and podiatrist Jennifer Campbell who visits on Thursdays. A beautician/massage therapist also visits on Mondays.
“We’re also giving all new hair salon clients a complimentary hair voucher valued at $60 and VIP Card members can also take part in activities such as Zumba Gold, indoor bowls, darts, day trips and many other pursuits.”
At the Open Day, guests were welcomed by the Resident Ambassadors who served a Morning Tea of delicious fruit cake and scones baked by resident Sarah Lee-Joe. After viewing the apartments available, they enjoy a tasty BBQ lunch.
By the time they said their farewells, some new friendships had been made with one Ambassador, Helen Kiley, arranging to meet one of the visitors for lunch at the nearby Epping Club next week.
