Welcome boost for Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre

Living Choice and the residents at Broadwater Court have been long-time supporters of the Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre, which is situated adjacent to the village. Since 1996, the centre has been providing community members with a space to meet, learn, connect and find support. Many Broadwater Court residents also volunteer their time to assist with some of the centre’s programs.

Recently Kathy Hall, Village Manager, and Richard Taylor, Broadwater Court Finance Committee member, paid a visit to the centre to present a donation of $1,600 - $1,000 from Living Choice and $600 from the Broadwater Court Residents’ Fund. It was gratefully accepted by the centre’s Finance and Administration staff member, Jenni Livingston.

Jenni said the donation would help the centre to continue supporting the “Breakfast Club” for children. The centre welcomes on average 130 children from the local high school for breakfast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. In addition, they also operate a pantry for families on Wednesdays with donations from Coles, Kincumber.

“They are a lovely bunch of ladies and do a lot for the community,” said Kathy
