Welcome to new residents and farewell to a favourite ambassador

Living Choice Alloura Waters held a morning tea in the community centre on Monday 8th May to welcome new residents to the village. It was a relaxing way to chat with other new residents whilst enjoying a lovely morning tea that was served to them by the Resident Ambassadors.

It was a bittersweet morning as one of the village’s long-serving ambassadors, Carol Peel, announced it was time to step down from her ambassador duties after nine years.

Carol has been the driving force behind setting up the Gala Reward Events at the village, open days, resident morning teas, and other various functions. During her time as ambassador leader, she has led an amazing team.

In her speech, Carol said how she had loved being an ambassador for the Alloura Waters Village.  “One of the things I really love is being in a situation to promote the village. I love showing people around and making new residents feel welcome. When you are an ambassador, you are one even when `off duty’ and I love that I have contributed and been a part of promoting our village.”

While Carol has officially stepped down from her position, she said her door was always open if needed. “I will miss the involvement and the challenge this role brings, but I will still see everyone and be involved, just on the other side,” she said.

Carol was presented with a lovely arrangement of dried flowers, a bottle of champagne and a beautiful bracelet.

Regional Manager, Gail Eyres attended, along with sales consultants Dave Grassby and Alicia Dougherty, who gave beautiful speeches.

Thank you so much, Carol, for all that you have done over the past nine years. We truly appreciate everything you have contributed to make the functions at Alloura Waters simply amazing.
