Women rule at Lower Murray
& Hills Vets’ Golf Day

Eighty-five Lower Murray & Hills Veteran golfers registered for the monthly tournament played at Echunga on 20th February, but it was the women who were the stars of the day.

President, Colin Stevens, said only 15 women took part but they were “over-represented” in the prize list!

“It was a great day and we were pleased to welcome Living Choice sales consultant, David Brookman. The course was in pretty good condition considering the club has had some water sprinkler issues on the back 9 that has left some fairways quite hard. The greens, however, were well-presented and providing you picked the right line, missing the putt wasn't the fault of the course!”

Congratulations to the prize-winners:

  • Overall winner - Darren Wilson 40pts.
  • Division 2 - Sue Telfer 40pts; 2nd Julie Stenklev 40pts on a countback; 3rd Jeff Ragless 38pts.
  • Division 1 - George Myer 36pts; 2nd John Dodd 35pts; 3rd Joy Page 34pts.
