Woodcroft’s “rainy day BBQ” hailed a success

While the weather was not ideal for the advertised “Summer BBQ & Open Day” at Living Choice Woodcroft, the rainy day event turned out to be a huge success, with keen interest in the homes on offer and a new appreciation of what retirement village living can offer.

“Four homes were either deposited or put `on hold’,” said a delighted Katherine Stacey, Sales Manager. “The Resident Ambassadors were just fantastic, as were all of our staff members, showing that we genuinely care about our clients and their welfare. Everyone was smiling and obviously enjoying the opportunity to socialise safely,” she added.

Guests started arriving at 11am and were escorted by staff members and Resident Ambassadors who were proud to show them around their village. Meanwhile, the BBQ team from the Aberfoyle Park Lions Club had fired up the BBQ, ready to feed everyone when they returned to the leisure centre. After lunch, Keith Conlon OAM, Living Choice’s popular Ambassador, took to the stage to interview residents Kym and Barbara Hutchinson about their reasons for choosing the village and the full and active lives they were leading. Wellness Centre Coordinator, Sarah Fox, also spoke on the health benefits of retirement village living and Home Care Case Manager, Lesley Phillips, outlined the many Living Choice Home Care services available.
