Woy Woy Pre-School shares the love for Mother’s Day

Living Choice Deepwater Court residents have a special bond with the children and staff members at Woy Woy Pre-School. Seven residents visit the Pre-School on alternate Wednesdays and have been doing so for many years.

The children paid a visit to the village on Thursday 11th May, spending time with the female residents and singing a song for them. The ladies were then given a small gift bag including chocolate and a handmade necklace.

Resident Thea Brayshaw said the Mother’s Day visit was very special. “The children come along very excited to meet the residents. We have been organising special Mother’s Day celebrations for the past five years but due to COVID-19, had to cancel, so it was lovely to be able to enjoy the event again. I also made up a single chrysanthemum with pink ribbon and the children handed them out to the ladies and wished them a happy Mother’s Day.”

Following this special visit, the ladies enjoyed a lovely lunch together and chatted about how wonderful the visit was.

Thea said that following the visit, she received a letter from the school thanking the village for having them over, adding that the families valued the children’s connection with Deepwater Court.
