To highlight the fact that Living Choice villages are pet-friendly, a Pet Information Day for Seniors was held at Living Choice Kawana Island recently. Residents were invited to bring their pets and clients were invited to learn about how pets can live harmoniously in a village environment and also view the homes available.

It was a great opportunity for the pet owners to meet local experts, including veterinarian Ernie Young of Battery Hill Veterinary Clinic, Sarah Watt of Caloundra Pet Resort, Jodie Craddock of Kleen K-9 Dog Wash, Tania Barton of Hobbits Knob Cat Retreat, Karen Radcliffe from Walk With Me Pets, Emily Upthegrove of Maxxwell Australia and talented pet photographer, Wavell Bush.

There was also a Pet Parade and to everyone’s surprise, the pets were very well-behaved! Below is some of feedback received:
“Thank you for such a super and rather unique Pet Day. Somehow it all went so smoothly, all pets so well-behaved and owners as well! Both animals and pets so relaxed with no issues and super catering. Interesting, too, to have the different organisations there as well. Wonderful morning. In a nutshell, 100% for such a well-organised function and I hope it brings in some public awareness of how adaptable and super our Living Choice Retirement Village is.”

“We would like to express  our appreciation for the way “The Dogs Day” was organised  yesterday. All the villagers got on well with  each other and so did the  “little and not so little  darlings”. We were really surprised how well they all behaved. And there is a saying: people who like dogs are good people. This could be a new advertisement slogan for LC:  Village with very well behaved dogs!”
