With so many village facilities, the Davistown RSL & Bowls Club next door, a scenic waterfront cycling and walking track and the waterfront on your doorstep, there is always plenty to do at Living Choice Alloura Waters.

Facilities at Alloura Waters

Indoor heated pool and gym

Swimming is the perfect gentle exercise and residents at Alloura Waters take full advantage of having their own indoor heated pool with many enjoying a dip daily. Water aerobics classes are also held weekly. The well-equipped gymnasium is adjacent to the pool.

BBQ and covered pavilion

Our central covered pavilion is the perfect place to enjoy summer barbecues, themed parties and morning teas. There are two BBQs, plenty of tables and chairs and a pretty garden outlook. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cuppa or meal with friends.

Community centre

This is the heart of the village! Dinners, happy hours, dancing, art and craft shows – there is always something going on in the community centre. There’s an attractive lounge and bar, auditorium with stage, community kitchen, craft room, library and computer centre.

Woodwork centre

Much more than just a Men’s Shed – this stand-alone centre welcomes both men and women to create something special for their grandchildren or charity. The workshop is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is supervised by a dedicated group of residents.

Activities at Alloura Waters

Village bus and excursions

Alloura Waters has its own village bus, even though local buses stop almost at your front door. There’s also a regular ferry service. The village bus has scheduled shopping runs every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and once a month the bus also takes residents to Newcastle.

Sport and Fitness

Bowls is the most popular sport at Living Choice Alloura Waters and no wonder, with the popular Davistown RSL Bowls Club next door. A number of regular fitness activities are also held on-site, including Zumba, yoga, water aerobics and indoor bowls.

Interest groups

There are many interest groups, including art, cards, computer club, craft, scrabble, Mahjong, music, patchwork/quilting, snooker and movies.

Social activities

The village has a very active Social Committee which organises events to celebrate Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Australia Day, Anzac Day, Yuletide, Bastille Day and Melbourne Cup Day. Other events include an annual Soup & Damper Day, garden parties, wine tastings, fashion shows, trivia nights and Tuesday night dinners.

Care and security at Alloura Waters

Care and security are a priority at Living Choice Alloura Waters retirement village and residents have come to value the experienced Care Team and the peace of mind that comes from knowing support is close at hand.

The Village provides 24-hour emergency response and Living Choice Home Care staff are available to assist with the general health and well-being of all residents.

Home Care

At Living Choice villages on the Central Coast you can have care and support services in the comfort of your own home. In addition to the services available at the village, you can access services provided by the Living Choice Home Care team. Our Case Managers assist residents to access Home Care packages. Carers

The Carers provide on-site, after-hours emergency response at the village, including weekends and public holidays. The Carers at Alloura Waters all have their Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation Certificates.

Emergency Call System

A `MyHomeFone’ emergency alarm system is installed at Alloura Waters which, when activated, alerts the monitoring company and a village staff member who will go immediately to the resident’s home.
