With only 42 homes, Living Choice Deepwater Court in Woy Woy is a small, friendly Central Coast retirement village that is very much in demand. Residents just love the sense of belonging that comes from living in a small, closely knit community and the peace of mind of knowing that all gardening and maintenance is taken care of.
The community centre is the heart of the village and includes a lounge and bar, indoor heated pool, gym, library, art and craft room and billiards. There are many activity groups such as craft and knitting, chair yoga, Canasta, Mahjong and marching. The nearby Everglades Country Club caters for both golf and bowls enthusiasts and the iconic Woy Woy Bowling Club is also close by.
The village is within walking distance of Deepwater Plaza and its wide range of shops, including Coles and Kmart. It also has its own bus and takes residents on regular excursions and shopping trips. With the Woy Woy Station so close, you can also be on a train to Sydney or Newcastle within minutes and regular bus services are within easy access.
There is a 24-hour emergency response system installed in all units and common areas and the village manager is fully trained in Advanced First Aid. A Carer also visits the village each week to attend to any care requests.

Relaxed seaside lifestyle
If you love being close to the water, you will love living at Living Choice Deepwater Court. Woy Woy is situated on a shallow inlet on the western shore of Brisbane Water National Park and is known for its relaxed seaside charm and easy accessibility to the train station and Sydney. Residents love to walk to the Fishermen’s Wharf, where they can enjoy an authentic Australian fish and chip experience and there is also boating, fishing and swimming.
Facilities at Deepwater Court
Indoor heated pool
Aquarobics is popular at Living Choice Deepwater Court and classes are held three times per week. They are conducted by residents and there is no charge. Residents and accompanied guests are also welcome to use the pool whenever they wish.
Community Centre
This is the heart of the village and many activities are held there, including regular happy hours, BBQs, dinners, movies and card games. Apart from the indoor heated pool, there is a gym, library, art and craft room and billiards.
Waterfront attractions
A big attraction is the pedestrian walkway along the nearby foreshore, which boasts picnic facilities, boat ramps, a playground and formal gardens in War Memorial Park. You can also fish for flathead, whiting, bream and crabs from the village’s own 10ft “tinny”.
Craft room
Although small in number, there are some very talented craftspeople living at Deepwater Court and they make a wide variety of items. The village also has a knitting group which meets every Wednesday to make rugs for the “Wraps for Love” project, the “Save the Children” charity as well as trauma teddies for Red Cross.

Deepwater Court Retirement Village has its own village bus and takes residents on regular excursions and shopping trips. With the Woy Woy Station so close, you can also be on a train to Sydney or Newcastle within minutes. Regular bus services are also within easy access.

Whether it’s Chair Yoga, tai chi, aquarobics, bowls or golf, there are plenty of opportunities to keep fit at Deepwater Court or at nearby clubs. The Everglades Country Club caters for both golf and bowls enthusiasts and the iconic Woy Woy Bowling Club is also nearby.

Living Choice Deepwater Court has its own billiards room and workshop with a good range of tools and machinery. There is also a well-equipped library with a wide range of books to suit all tastes.

You can enjoy a wide range of activities, including a monthly outing on the village bus, a monthly Sunday lunch, monthly dinner, weekly happy hours, weekly musical afternoons, colouring-in and movies. Cards and board games are also popular.

Village Manager
A village staff member is on-site Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, including the village manager Rebecca Roese who attends 2 days per week, a gardener 3 days per week and a property maintenance person 2 days per week. All are available to respond to both medical and security emergencies. Rebecca also liaises with Living Choice Home Care staff and Tunstall Health emergency response to achieve the best possible outcome for residents.
Maintenance
One of the most appreciated aspects of living at Living Choice Deepwater Court is that you don't need to worry about property maintenance and gardening - we do it all for you! The village gardener works 3 days each week to keep the village gardens blooming and our property maintenance person attends to all maintenance requests 2 days per week.
Emergency response
The Tunstall Health Liberty emergency alarm system is installed at Deepwater Court and each home is provided with an emergency phone and pendant which, when activated, alerts the Tunstall Registered Nurse on duty. The duty nurse will telephone the resident and will decide on treatment or hospitalisation via ambulance if necessary.
