The choice of Independent or Supported Living apartments
There is a wide choice of affordable retirement apartments at Leisure Lea Gardens, from compact, modern apartments suitable for those who require extra care and support, to spacious, two-bedroom apartments ideal for active retirees. Each apartment is designed within a beautifully landscaped setting to promote maximum independence and minimum maintenance.
If you or your loved one requires extra care, choosing a Supported Living apartment may be the better option. These attractive apartments offer all the same quality features as our Independent Living apartments but are usually smaller and easier to manage. They are also located close to the dining-room, community centre, village facilities and administration staff.
Many extra services are available with our Supported Living package, including daily meals, apartment cleaning, bed-making, and laundry services.

The village has an excellent location on Epping Road with Macquarie Shopping Centre only 2.5kms away. The centre boasts 360 stores, including David Jones, Myer, Target, Big W and Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets.

Restaurant
With plenty of experience in both European and South East Asian cuisine, the residents are able to enjoy a varied menu prepared by head chef Neil Senanayake three times daily. Neil has worked in renowned hotels such as the Sheraton Wentworth and the Sydney Renaissance and has also worked as a Chef Manager for various catering companies.
BBQ and Courtyard
The beautiful, award-winning gardens at Leisure Lea Gardens provide the perfect backdrop for the BBQ and Courtyard area. Located near the restaurant, it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends and family, enjoy a summer BBQ or garden party or simply read a book.
Veggie garden
The village has its own raised veggie and herb garden and residents are encouraged to be involved in planting, nurturing and enjoying all the fresh produce that is available all year round. There is also a shaded outdoor area where residents can gather for a drink and a chat, or simply enjoy the lovely surrounds.
Lounge and library
The lounge and coffee area is always a hive of activity, with residents playing cards, enjoying a cuppa, having a drink or two at Happy Hour or simply looking for a new book to read in the library. The lounge overlooks the village gardens and is the perfect place to catch up with friends.

Shopping & excursions
Buses run right past the village’s front gate and Epping Station is close by, so it’s easy to take part in all the social, recreational, sporting and shopping activities on offer in the local area. Village transport is available to shops, clubs and medical appointments.
Sport & Fitness
There are many sporting clubs close by, including bowls clubs and the North Ryde Golf Club, where a number of residents play golf. Free exercise classes, table tennis, indoor bowls, and a gymnasium are all available. A Zumba Gold class with a qualified instructor also runs each week.
On-site services
Popular hairdresser Lucy Minnicino has been providing on-site hairdressing services twice a week for many years and you can always hear plenty of laughter coming from her salon. A beautician and massage therapist also visit the Village by appointment.
Regular activities
There’s always something to do at Leisure Lea Gardens – the Afternoon Cuppa Club, bingo, cards, church services, craft, darts, happy hour, Mahjong, monthly birthday parties, movie afternoons, scrabble, snooker, table tennis and trivia.
Care and Supported Living at Leisure Lea Gardens
Leisure Lea Gardens is renowned for its wonderful, caring staff and both residents and their families can relax, secure in the knowledge that they or their loved ones will receive the best care and support.
The Living Choice Home Care Program enables residents to stay in their village home for as long as possible and not be moved prematurely to Residential Aged Care. Both Independent Living and Supported Living apartments are available, offering a high level of services and support.
Personal Care
Personal Care Assistants are available at Leisure Lea Gardens to provide a wide range of services such as dispensing Webster Packs, showering, applying creams and eye drops, bed-making, personal washing and ironing. Staff members are also on hand to take residents shopping or to medical appointments.
Emergency Response
At Leisure Lea Gardens, every resident has an SOS emergency call pendant which when activated, alerts a first aid trained staff member on-site. The staff member will decide on treatment or hospitalisation via ambulance if necessary. An SOS button may also be installed in the resident's bathroom.
On-site Doctor
General Practitioners from MQ Health consult at Leisure Lea Gardens retirement village on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Podiatrist Jennifer Campbell visits on Thursdays, and Pathologist Douglas Hanly Moir visits on Wednesdays. There is also a chemist script service.
Access to Home Care
As an Approved Provider, Living Choice Home Care provides residents with nursing, household, cleaning, shopping, transport and personal care services, either through a Government subsidy or on a user-pays basis. Contact Living Choice Home Care team on 1300 001 431 for more details.
Supported Living - Serviced retirement apartments
At Leisure Lea Gardens, we offer both Independent and Supported Living retirement apartments. Supported Living—sometimes referred to as assisted living—is ideal for those who need a bit of extra support while continuing to enjoy an independent lifestyle. It's a great option for those seeking assisted living in Sydney without compromising on comfort or freedom.
Unlike aged care, Supported Living apartments offer you the benefits of a hotel style service with Personal Care Assistants helping you as needed whilst allowing you to maintain your privacy. You can choose a range of options enabling you to stay independent and not prematurely enter an Aged Care Facility.
