“As you are aware, my parents, Clive and Jean Pringle, moved to Leisure Lea Gardens Retirement Village in Marsfield from the Central Coast 12 months ago. I am thankful to my daughter, Chelsea Gordon, who found your village and orchestrated the move. The settling-in period and subsequent interest and care for my parents has been outstanding. I cannot thank you and your staff enough. “All of your staff are joyful and they go the extra mile in so many ways. I hear about Juliet, Linda, Stephen, Joel, Robert, Ramani, Wendy, Neil and Claude regularly. The visits to Dr Bob are always positive, and his personal care and understanding of my parents' health is evident. The nurses have also been very supportive, diligently visiting my parents to check on their health at various times over the year.
“The meals are varied and delicious and the option of ordering meals is a great support to my Mum. The staff have even helped my highly motivated 87-year-old father to continue his hobby of potting plants. Dad also enjoys the gym and is a regular on the well-kept equipment. They have enjoyed the Friday Happy Hour and the many entertaining shows that have been put on during the year.
“They have also been thankful to be able to attend the monthly Church Service and Mum has made some new friends to link with at the Thursday Craft Afternoons. Walks around the block have been conducted during COVID restrictions and this has also been positive for Mum. The beautifully well-kept gardens are always a joy, and Mum and Dad and their visitors enjoy walking through the different flowers as the seasons change. “During these unusually isolating times, it is wonderful to know that my parents are very well cared for. The village has an excellent location on Epping Road with Macquarie Shopping Centre only 2.5kms away. The centre boasts 360 stores, including David Jones, Myer, Target, Big W and Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets.

Restaurant
With plenty of experience in both European and South East Asian cuisine, the residents are able to enjoy a varied menu prepared by head chef Neil Senanayake three times daily. Neil has worked in renowned hotels such as the Sheraton Wentworth and the Sydney Renaissance and has also worked as a Chef Manager for various catering companies.
BBQ and Courtyard
The beautiful, award-winning gardens at Leisure Lea Gardens provide the perfect backdrop for the BBQ and Courtyard area. Located near the restaurant, it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends and family, enjoy a summer BBQ or garden party or simply read a book.
Veggie garden
The village has its own raised veggie and herb garden and residents are encouraged to be involved in planting, nurturing and enjoying all the fresh produce that is available all year round. There is also a shaded outdoor area where residents can gather for a drink and a chat, or simply enjoy the lovely surrounds.
Lounge and library

There are many sporting clubs close by, including bowls clubs and the North Ryde Golf Club, where a number of residents play golf. Free exercise classes are held twice a week and table tennis, indoor bowls, a gymnasium and Zumba Gold are available in the newly renovated Atrium area.

Popular hairdresser Lucy Minnicino has been providing on-site hairdressing services three times a week for many years and you can always hear plenty of laughter coming from her salon. A beautician and massage therapist also offers appointments every Monday.

The Living Choice Home Care Program enables residents to stay in their village home for as long as possible and not be moved prematurely to Residential Aged Care. Both Independent Living and Supported Living apartments are available, offering a high level of services and support.
Personal Care
Personal Care Assistants are available at Leisure Lea Gardens to provide a wide range of services such as dispensing Webster Packs, showering, applying creams and eye drops, bed-making, personal washing and ironing. Staff members are also on hand to take residents shopping or to medical appointments.
Emergency Response
At Leisure Lea Gardens every resident has a Vital Call pendant which when activated, alerts a first aid trained staff member on-site. The staff member will decide on treatment or hospitalisation via ambulance if necessary. A Vital Call button is also installed in the resident's bathroom.
On-site Doctor
General Practitioner Dr Bob Sebesfi consults at Leisure Lea Gardens retirement village on Mondays and Wednesdays, Podiatrist Donna Chalmers visits on Thursdays and Pathologist Douglas Hanly Moir visits on Wednesdays. There is also a chemist script service.
Access to Home Care

Supported Living- Serviced retirement apartments
At Leisure Lea Gardens we offer both Independent and Supported Living retirement apartments. Supported Living, otherwise known as Assisted Living or Serviced Apartments offer the ideal choice when you need a little extra support without compromising your independence or freedom.
Unlike aged care, Supported Living apartments offer you the benefits of a hotel style service with Personal Care Assistants helping you as needed whilst allowing you to maintain your privacy. You can choose a range of options enabling you to stay independent and not prematurely enter an Aged Care Facility.
