Adelaide’s leaders, authors and book lovers gathered for the launch of the second edition of “City Streets – Progressive Adelaide 75 years on” by author Lance Campbell and photographer, the late Mick Bradley at Living Choice Fullarton on Thursday 10th August.

The impressive new edition of the iconic book was launched by the Premier of South Australia, Hon Jay Weatherill MP, who wrote the forward and, judging from the number of people queuing up to buy the book afterwards, it’s set to fly off the book shelves.

The first edition of City Streets was immensely popular and quickly sold out. The Adelaide City Council and the SA Government then came together with Wakefield Press to facilitate the long-awaited second edition.

Wakefield Press publisher Michael Bollen, said the Fullarton book launch was a “terrific, excellent event”. “We are very grateful to Living Choice for making their fabulous venue available. There was a lovely atmosphere and we were pleased to introduce a number of Adelaide authors to those present.”

Apart from Living Choice residents and clients, a number of high profile guests attended the event, including the State Member for Adelaide, Rachel Anderson, David Pisoni MP, Clrs Don Palmer and Peter Hughes, Living Choice director Graham Hobbs and Living Choice Ambassador and MC for the night, Keith Conlon OAM.
