Thank you to those residents that offer testimonials about their experience living at Living Choice Kawana Island retirement village. We value what our residents have to say, and the Living Choice team work hard to ensure that we are exceeding resident expectations.
Here are some of the testimonials we have received:
The best choice for my parents
The innovative designs and quality of the construction, together with the on-site amenities and ideal location, were a compelling combination in the selection of Living Choice Kawana Island as the optimal retirement village option for my parents.
In their near 13-year residency they enjoyed exactly the lifestyle that they had hoped for, pursuing a wide range of on-site activities and social engagements and always spoke very highly of the efficiency and friendliness of management and staff.
Although the retirement village space continues to expand apace, we’re of the view that the operation and lifestyle offered by Living Choice continues to be the premier package in the retirement market place and we look forward to taking up our own residency in the next year or two.

What more could you want!
I have been at Living Choice since June 2004, and can truly say it’s been a good move. The staff are very helpful and caring, and I love my unit.
There are outings and get-togethers and lots of events are held in the leisure centre. It is a pretty island, nice walks near the water and it is close to the shops. Plus, there’s ongoing care if it’s needed – what more can you want?

We have agreed it’s the best move ever
Since arriving at Living Choice at Kawana Island we have agreed it’s the best move ever. All of the staff and village residents have been very friendly and the facilities are first class. Some of these are the bowling green, tennis court, indoor and outdoor pools, snooker and pool tables and many of the other activities if you wish to partake any of these activities.

I feel very blessed
I feel very blessed that I am living in such a spacious and well-appointed villa, my children are very happy that I am here too! The whole complex, gardeners and maintenance team are just wonderful. I am overjoyed at the way residents and staff have made me feel so welcome. The indoor heated pool was a big drawcard for me.

Care and Security at Kawana Island
The Living Choice Home Care Program at Kawana Island retirement village ensures that residents can live in their own homes for as long as possible. A staff member is always on-site and caring neighbours are always on hand to assist.
The village offers luxury Independent Living with staff on-site 7 days per week, 24 hours a day. Around-the-clock emergency response is also provided by Tunstall Healthcare.
Living Choice also recognises that Kawana Island residents may need a higher level of care in the future and there are several Aged Care Residences nearby which offer a premium level of care, including Estia Twin Waters, which is adjacent to Living Choice Twin Waters.
On-site carers
All staff members at Living Choice Kawana Island are fully trained in Advanced First Aid and are on-site between 8am and 5pm five days a week. A carer takes over at 5pm until 8am and is also on duty on weekends and public holidays. The carers are highly valued by the residents and their services are included in the monthly levy.
Emergency Response
A Tunstall Healthcare Personal Alarm System is installed in all homes and common areas and a waterproof pendant is also supplied. At the touch of a button residents can press their pendant or Help button to be connected to the on-site carer as well as an off-site Nurse. Together they will assess the situation and summon an ambulance, if necessary.
Home Care & Health
As an Approved Provider, Living Choice Home Care services can be arranged through a Government subsidy or on a user-pays basis. Amanda McIntosh, a massage therapist and Pain Management Specialist, visits the village twice a week and the hairdressing salon, run by Jan Bermingham, is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Kawana Health Precinct
The village is conveniently located close to the new Sunshine Coast University Public Hospital and the co-located Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, which together form the largest new health precinct in the Southern Hemisphere.
