Take a bow, Woodcroft Resident Ambassadors

The COVID-19 pandemic may have forced plenty of changes to the planned marketing calendar at Living Choice Woodcroft, but it certainly has not dampened the enthusiasm of the large group of Resident Ambassadors at the village.

Apart from helping at marketing events, the ambassadors also “man” the sales desk on the weekends, taking great pride in showing clients the homes available and touring them through the leisure centre facilities.

To thank them for their support, the sales team comprising David Brookman and Katherine Stacey, Village Manager Deb Saxon and Assistant Village Manager, Frances Parolin, hosted an enjoyable Ploughman’s Lunch which was attended by 48 residents and staff members, including 38 Resident Ambassadors and six partners.

“Jen Hawkes, ambassador leader, spoke first, commenting on the large number of new residents in the village and thanking us for hosting the lunch in their honour,” said David.

David then revealed the large number of sales during the past nine months – a whopping 24 settlements and 16 deposits.

“This drew a round of applause from the ambassadors, but I pointed out that the result was a combined effort of the sales team, village management, the maintenance and gardening crew who have the village looking great at all times and last, and most importantly, the ambassadors for their courtesy and welcoming attitude when visitors come on weekends and to events,” said David.

“Most people choose this village for the lovely accommodation and leisure centre but it’s the people they meet here that gets them in,” he added.

Katherine Stacey also spoke about the history of the Resident Ambassador program and singled out a few residents who had served since Living Choice introduced the program.

Everyone tucked into lunch comprising cold meats, cheeses, stuffed eggs, salad, olives, pickles, chutney and fresh bread, followed by dessert. A big thank-you to Let’s Eat Catering for the delicious food and the village barmen, Brendan Rock and Adrian Hays, for serving the drinks.
