Around the world an estimated 750 million people from 163 nations and territories tuned in for the $6.25-million Melbourne Cup, including a large crowd of Living Choice Twin Waters residents and their guests. They came “glammed up” for the occasion, sipping on champers, showing off their dress flair in the fashion parades and enjoying a two-course lunch. They also parted with plenty of money at “Dave’s TAB” and at the sweep table with not many picking Rekindling to win the cup and deliver the sixth Melbourne Cup win for Lloyd Williams.
As usual, Robert Airs excelled with his stunning displays and Thelma Richardson, Dorothy Blythe and their team of helpers organised everything to perfection. Congratulations to the fashion winners:
