More than 30 Living Choice Woodcroft residents enjoyed a walking tour of the Leisure Centre under construction by Construction Manager, Rob Grech, on 16 June. The group inspected the works so far on their new Leisure Centre, which (weather permitting) is scheduled for completion early next year.
The group battled the freezing conditions and intermittent rain in excitement as Rob explained the progress so far.
The tour took place at a pinnacle stage of the project as the following week the precast panels arrived on site.
Walking around the large concrete slab guided by Rob, the residents were able to envisage the spaces that would soon take shape. Key spaces of interest on the ground floor were the pool, cinema, bar and auditorium.
Following the Leisure Centre walk-through, the group headed up to the first floor of the linked apartments. From here Rob discussed the amount of civil works that had taken place in order to secure the existing apartments, identifying the bored piers and the large amount of retained required to progress.
The walking tour of the site was hailed a success and the residents were able to ask questions throughout the entire tour. Everyone is looking forward to the progress to come as the Leisure Centre starts to be defined in its three dimensional form.
