Living Choice Fullarton and Damien on Fisher Restaurant are pleased to feature the work of Lindsay Kilminster, an award-winning Adelaide artist, at the March Art Exhibition. Painting mainly in oil, using the alla prima technique (direct painting wet on wet), Lindsay loves painting a wide variety of subjects including landscape, seascapes, still life, flora and fauna and portraits. However, he is particularly drawn to seascapes. Composition, proportion and capturing the light play a very important role in a painting and knowing what to include and leave out of a painting is vital. To achieve this Lindsay often uses several photos to create a painting which are often brought to life with wildlife especially seagulls and pelicans.
